Your personnel file

Your job title, merit, time card and best scores, as this browser kept them from the games.

This file is filled in from what this browser has kept, and reading that takes JavaScript. Nothing on this page leaves your device.

How the personnel file is kept

Where the file comes from

Every game on this site keeps your scores in your browser’s local storage. This page reads those entries and fills in your file from them. It sends none of it anywhere, and no account sits behind it. Another browser or device keeps a file of its own.

Merit and job titles

A daily round earns merit from its grade, once a day, when its game is on that day’s shift. A performance plan earns 0, needs improvement 1, meets expectations 2 and exceeds expectations 3. A full shift pays 3 more, once a day. The other games’ dailies still clock you in and set best scores, and solo rounds are practice. Neither earns merit, so promotions come from turning up for the shift, at the same pace for everyone. The leaderboard explains how a full shift adds up to one total. The first titles come within days, and the top job takes about a quarter of steady shifts. Merit only ever goes up, which makes this the most generous review cycle in the building.

The weekly review

On Fridays, a daily round’s result comes with the week’s review. It lists your days clocked in, the merit you earned, your title on Monday against now, your best grade in each game and a note from HR. Share sends it as one line. This file keeps the latest review, this week’s from Friday and last week’s until then. A week with no day clocked in gets no review.

Days clocked in and PTO

Finish a daily round on a weekday and you’re clocked in for the day. Saturday and Sunday can’t end a run, and a round on either is overtime. Clocking in all five weekdays of a week earns a PTO day, up to two in hand. A missed weekday spends one on its own, and the run carries on. Service milestones fall at 5, 20, 60 and 250 days clocked in, a working week, month, quarter and year.

Commendations

Each commendation is worked out from entries the games already keep, and each one shows its rule. Three of them read a record that gets replaced. Clean sheet reads the last daily round a multiple-choice game keeps, and Bingo reads your last buzzword bingo card. Either can drop off when a newer round takes its place. Perfect attendance holds while your latest week on the time card is a full one or you still have a PTO day.

Jargon on file

The file lists the phrases you got right in your last daily round of the daily jargon quiz, each linked to its entry in the corporate jargon dictionary. The quiz is the one game that asks what a phrase means. Solo rounds aren’t saved, so their answers aren’t filed, and nothing keeps a longer history. Bingo marks phrases you heard in a meeting. Hearing a phrase proves nothing about knowing it, so bingo files no terms.

Clearing the file

The privacy page lists every entry behind this file and deletes them all with one button. Your title, merit, time card and scores then start over at Intern.

Questions about your personnel file

Where is my personnel file stored?

In your browser's local storage, on this device. This page reads it there and sends none of it anywhere.

Why is my personnel file empty?

Nothing has been finished in this browser yet, or its storage was cleared. A private window starts with an empty file and forgets it when the last private tab closes.

Can I move my personnel file to another device?

No. There's no account and no sync, so each browser keeps its own file. Your phone and your work laptop have separate careers.

How do I get promoted faster?

Work the day's shift, and work it well. A shift game's daily round at exceeds expectations earns 3 merit, and punching every game on the shift pays 3 more. Weekend shifts count too. Other games' dailies and solo rounds earn none.
